Locally owned and operated, RROX Aggregates Ltd. is a Park Paving Ltd. affiliate and an industry leading producer of high-quality aggregates for the Edmonton market.  Our products come from pits and aggregate reserves all over north-central Alberta and are incorporated into the best asphalt, concrete, and soil cement available.  

Reporting to the General Manager of Materials & Manufacturing, the Manager of RROX is a strategic partner within the business and leadership team operating primarily at Park Paving’s main office in Edmonton.  The Manager of RROX has a wide-ranging and challenging portfolio which includes providing strategic direction and ensuring cost-effective day-to-day operation of all of RROX Aggregate’s activities (across all sites and facilities).

Responsibilities include:

Setting department/organizational objectives and providing guidance to superintendents and other staff to ensure goals are achieved.
Reviewing and approving income expenditures and budgets, monitoring production levels and inventory projections, monitoring schedules and delivery of service, providing guidance and direction in the development of new programs, systems and procedures related to asset use and management.
Leading the sales program of aggregate product lines and providing high-level sales coverage by maintaining an external network of current and potential clients for further revenue generation.
Recruitment, motivation and development of all employee positions.
Promoting a safety-minded work culture and maintaining compliance with all OHS, COR, and rail operating standards.

Qualifications / Requirements

Over 5 years in the management role of an aggregate operation.   Includes the cultivation of advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, asset and financial management, and mining plans.
Familiar with the market and current with short- and medium-term business and economic trends and forecasts of the aggregate industry.
Strong problem solving and creative skills with an ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with experience in negotiating and influencing internal and external partners.
Proven leadership and employee management experience 
Proficient in the use of computers, including MS Office Suite and accounting software.
