Arc Flash Safety Class Go back

The Alberta Sand & Gravel Association is pleased to offer the aggregates community a special Arc Flash and Shock Training class.


The class is facilitated by veteran Electrical Engineer Terry Becker, P.Eng, CESCP, and IEEE senior member. Becker is a founding and voting Member of the CSA Z462 workplace electrical safety Standard.  

This one day class will provide training on Low Voltage Arc Flash & Shock Training based on the 2018 Edition of the CSA Z462 Workplace electrical safety standard. The training includes exercises, discussion on applying CSA Z462 to your workplace, and a final test. Examples of arc flash & shock PPE, tools, and equipment will be used in the training course.

Morning coffee and lunch is included.

  • Time: 9:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.
  • Where: Knelsen West Edmonton Office, 11211 Winterburn Road
  • Cost: $250 + GST for ASGA members and $450 for non-ASGA members.

Enrollment is limited to 20 students on a first-come, first-served basis. Should enrollment exceed 20 student, a wait list will be created for a potential future class. 

If COVID-19 restrictions prevent a physical class, this class will be be delivered as a webinar at the same date and time.
