The Alberta Sand Gravel Association is active throughout the province of Alberta. Currently, the Association is involved in the following committees, programs and initiatives:

Health and Safety Committee

Our Occupational Health and Safety Committee works towards creating safer workplaces in the aggregate industry. We work on projects like the OH & S Toolkit, available to all members, advising government on Workers' Compensation Board management, and improvements to workplace safety laws and regulations

Land and Environment Committee

Our Land and Environment Committee works towards ensuring our members can deliver aggregates to Albertans while maintain safe and responsible practices to preserve Alberta unique ecology. We work on advising Alberta Environment & Parks on permitting processes through initiatives like the 2020 Permitting Delay Report, advising government, and reporting changes to members.

Aggregate Facts

One mile of a 6-lane highway needs 133,500 tonnes of aggregate.
