If you're a knowledgeable, talented speaker with something timely to say, now is the time to speak up. The Alberta Sand & Gravel Association is calling for presentation proposals for its 2018 Annual General Meeting. This is your chance to address industry leaders on current issues, hot topics or cutting edge developments of interest to the sand and gravel industry.

The ASGA AGM brings together 250-300 industry representatives from across the province. The agenda may include a range of topics including resource management, the environment, health & safety, policy, general interest and industry updates.


How to get involved

We invite you to submit an abstract on one of the following topics:
  • Health & Safety 
  • Environment
  • New OHS Code
  • Equipment
  • Technology
  • Innovation
  • Community relations
  • Stewardship
Do you have another topic of interest that is not on this list? The ASGA always welcomes new ideas. Submit an abstract with your unique topic, including the details of your concept and its relevance to the industry as per our submission checklist below.

Proposals are due September 15th

Submissions must be sent to the ASGA no later than Friday, September 15th  by 5:00 pm. Please send to the attention of:

Submission(s) do not guarantee acceptance.

All submissions received become the property of the ASGA, for use in such manner and medium, including electronic media, as the ASGA determines. 

Presenters will be notified by October 16 of decision of acceptance.

Submission Checklist
  • Title of presentation

  • 200 word description that clearly details:
     
    • Key learning outcomes.
    • Relevance to the aggregate industry and impact on the future.

  • Speaker information: First name, last name, company, position, address, email, phone number.
     
  • Audio-visual requirements: Please include everything you require such as laptop, projector, microphone, etc.

  • The time frame that is most appropriate for your content (15, 30 or 45 minutes).
